How can I add an answer with steps of calculation for short and long questions?

The answers have to show steps of calculation in which fractions or math equations must be included. But answer box does not allow users directly type such formats, and no picture editor either. The attached file is an example of an answer I would like to include for students. Thanks.

As I mentioned previously, only a few question types currently have picture editors. We will certainly consider adding this feature to Short Answer and Long Answer in future upgrades.
For now, would something like the Diagram question work for you? See the attached pictures. No picture is used for the Diagram, only for Diagram Key. The test document then has a blank space for the calculations to be completed the exam taker.
Would this work for you for now? It's not a perfect solution, but this is the only workaround the program currently has.
(PS - The blank space for the Diagram is the size of the image used for the Diagram Key. The larger the image used the larger the blank space.)
Thank you very much for your advice. I didn't think up the type of diagram will work in this way to fit my need. Your advice solves my problem.
