Graphic (Picture) sizing

I use a question type of MATCHING to match descriptions of math equations/formulas.

I type the equations in MATHTYPE and save them from MATHTYPE as GIFs.

The problem is the size of the graphic varies by the length of the formula.

For example, if  I typed:     "f(x)=3x"   and another one as "f(x) = 3x + 2y - 10t ..."

and wanted to use them both in the same MATCHING question, the shorter one would default to a much bigger image.

I wish there was a way to specify the image's size so that I did not have to spend a lot of time doing decrease/increase over and over... to literally play with the image size of each of the answers in the MATCHING question.

We have been doing some work on the Picture Editors for both Schoolhouse Bingo and Schoolhouse Test (the two editors should essentially work the same for the two programs).

Testing is still being carried out on the Bingo program, but once that is done it will be migrated to Schoolhouse Test. I will update the forum when that work is completed, and you can see if the new features in Picture Editor help with this issue (the biggest changes involve having the user adjust the default size for images).

Thanks Mark!

It has taken longer than we expected, but we have finally released a maintenance upgrade for Schoolhouse Test 3.

We have added a feature to the Picture editor that should make it easier to add multiple pictures that you would like to have a similar size. By default, pictures are imported into the Picture editor at 800. You may want to set the default to a larger or smaller import size to ensure the images you are using do not need re-sizing. The range is 10 to 1500.

You can download the latest build of Schoolhouse Test 3 from your Customer Care Account at https://www.schoolhousetech.com/Customers/MyAccount.aspx .

Give this a try, and let us know if this helps minimize the amount of re-sizing you have to do.
